In the historic city of Suzhou in eastern China, there’s a man on a mission to capture and recreate its ancient buildings and artefacts. Using LiDAR – a kind of laser scanner – along with drones and cameras, he takes thousands of images of each object. With the help of AI, he stitches them all together to create a high-fidelity digital reproduction.
