About the Conference
Social justice is a concept that aims to ensure that all members of society are treated equitably and given fair access to opportunities, resources, and benefits. It is an essential aspect of any society, as it seeks to eliminate discrimination, oppression, and inequalities that often arise due to factors such as race, gender, socioeconomic status, and other factors.
Social justice seeks to create a society that values the dignity and worth of all individuals, and it is crucial to understand the different dimensions of social justice to promote its principles. The early advocates of social justice focused primarily on capital, property and the distribution of resources equitably, as there was a stark stratification between the wealthy and the poor at that juncture.
However, with the passage of time the concept of social justice expanded from being primarily concerned with economic dimension to include all spheres of social life specifically addressing the inequalities based on race, caste, gender and other forms of its manifestations.
The present conference seeks to explore and critically analyze the economic dimension of social justice to ever evolving facets of the same.
