NUJS Kolkata is organising Conference on Sports Governance, Ethics and Policy on 2-3 March 2024. The last date of registration is February 20.

About the Organiser

The NUJS-Centre for Sports Law and Policy (CSLP) was established in 2019 to foster a culture of innovation, legal scholarship, and policy-making in the domain of Sports Law and its many interactions with the subjects.

About the Conference

The conference will be one of the largest of its kind. It will help promote the niche field of sports law, to enable a new generation of legal scholars to take up the field through being exposed to the various presentations by their fellow presenters and the esteemed panellists.

The conference will be presided over by eminent personalities associated with Sports law; and who have immense experience in the fields concerned. The conference will also provide a platform for paper presentations on various contemporary themes.

As a backdrop, NUJS and Global Sports Law Review have come together to explore this new field in the domain of sports, law and policy. The scheduled date for the conference is 2nd and 3rd March 2024. For details regarding the schedule of the conference, kindly see our brochure.

Themes

The theme on Paper presentations are welcome on the theme of Sports Governance, Ethics, and Policy— Recent Trends and Developments at the International Conference.

The conference is open to all contemporary issues in sports, with no specific topic limitations. Papers addressing subjects such as Sports Governance, Competition Law and Sports, Human Rights and Sports, ADR and Sports, Biotechnology Innovations and Sports, etc are invited.

• Submissions that are plagiarised to a level of more than 15% will not be accepted.

Presentation Guidelines

The author/s will have to present their paper along with a PowerPoint/Canva (any other similar service) presentation that must be shared by them during the presentation.

Each author will have 15 minutes to present their paper out of which 10 minutes will be used by them to present the paper and the remaining 5 minutes will be a question-and-answer and guiding session by the judges. The extension can be granted at the judging panels’ discretion.
